Outpatient chemotherapy

(on the 2nd floor of the centre)

Chemotherapy involves the administration of anti-cancer (or anti-tumour) drugs via an infusion. The aim of these drugs is to slow down or stop the growth and multiplication of cancer cells in the body.

Chemotherapy is a treatment that is tailored to your individual case. Throughout your treatment, the prescribing oncologist will work closely with your GP and the specialist who follows you regularly.

The outpatient chemotherapy unit is open from 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. It is under the responsibility of two oncology doctors (Dr Gulnara ESTEVEZ and Dr Ahmed FRIKHA).

The department includes 15 outpatient chi-miotherapy stations.
The paramedical team is multidisciplinary. A nurse coordinator is available to provide personalised care, based on 4 main themes: listening, information, support and guidance.
